Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals in navigating their healthcare, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and doctors, both over the phone and in writing.
  • Maintain quality targets, department metrics, and exceed member expectations.
  • Utilize technology proficiently, including Google apps, Apple products, and customer relationship management software.
  • Think critically and problem-solve complex situations with empathy and efficiency.
  • Work from a home office if needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (preferred): Fluent in both Spanish and English.
  • Exceptional Business Writing Skills: Accurate spelling and grammar are essential as you'll communicate with patients and doctors in writing.
  • Excellent Verbal Skills: Confidently explain our services with a friendly phone demeanor.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision is key in this role.
  • Proficiency with Technology: Experience with Google apps, Apple products, and CRM software is a plus.
  • Independent Work Management: Ability to manage your workload independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate complex situations efficiently.
  • Empathy: Work with members and their families during challenging times, providing reassurance and support.
  • Sense of Humor: A good sense of humor helps as we work hard and enjoy laughing together.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare or benefits/insurance organization is highly preferred.


Required Hours:

  • The department is open 7 days a week, offering some M-F schedules and 4-10 hour shifts.
  • Training is 10 weeks, Monday to Friday, from 7am to 4pm Pacific Time (testing is required throughout the training period).


Required Experience:

  • Healthcare customer service with knowledge of insurance and reading healthcare plans.
  • Preferred backgrounds in insurance and claims.
  • Preferred experience in remote call center environments.


Additional Details:

  • 10-week training period with mandatory attendance.
  • Training schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am to 4pm Pacific Time.
