Location: Washington, DC

Hours: Monday-Friday only, no weekends! No on call requirement! Can accommodate 4/10s

Pay: Pay range is typically $43-54h pending experience- contact for more information

Setting: Outpatient

Responsibilities for Cardiac Sonographer - Echocardiogram Technologist

• Prep for exams by checking equipment, inventory, reviewing physician orders and schedules as well as putting patient info into the EMR. Makes sure the equipment is always calibrated to ensure result accuracy
• Needs to be able to calmly explain the exam procedures to patients and answering any questions they may have
• Enter all of the test data into the EMR system
• Searching for abnormalities during imaging
• Print data and graphics to produce measurements of heart wall, chamber size, blood flow direction and velocity. Needs the ability to compare results to established norms
• Monitor patients physical condition during the procedure; report changes of patient status or emergency situations to the clinical staff, supervisors or Physicians.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiogrophy or Ultrasound program
• ADRMS registered in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS) or CCI Echocardiography (RCS)
• BLS
• 1-3 years of experience
• Experience working with any EMR
