Job description

We are hiring a call service scheduler!

Join our team as a Remote Ophthalmology Service Specialist! You'll be the first point of contact for patients, handling appointment scheduling and intake processes. After an initial training period onsite, you can work remotely with mileage reimbursement provided during training.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a multi-line phone system.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments for various ophthalmology services.
  • Enter and review patient demographic and insurance info.
  • Handle patient inquiries and coordinate with insurance representatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure call quality.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of medical appointment scheduling experience (ophthalmology preferred).
  • Remote phone experience preferred.
  • Must own a laptop and have knowledge of Windows-based programs.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel to offices and clinics.

Important Information:

  • Training: Initial 3 months onsite, with mileage reimbursement (62.5 cents/mile).
  • Equipment: Personal laptop required.
  • Dress Code: Scrubs or business professional attire for training.
