Job description

Job Description: The Authorizations Coordinator/Call Center Representative will work within an inbound call center environment, primarily handling authorizations and insurance verification. The role requires managing an average of 70+ calls per day, maintaining a pace of 6-8 minutes per call. The incumbent will need to strictly adhere to established protocols, following an algorithmic flow chart that guides call handling. It's crucial to maintain a consistent course as outlined and handle a high call volume efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound calls related to authorizations and insurance verification.
  • Follow established protocols and an algorithmic flow chart for call handling.
  • Ensure each call is addressed within a 6-8 minute timeframe.
  • Verify insurance details and complete necessary authorization processes.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service and adhere to set organizational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members and maintain a team-oriented approach.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Prior experience working in a high-volume call center environment.
  • At least 1+ year of performing prior authorizations.

Soft Skills/Attributes:

  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive and motivated individual with a 'go-getter' attitude.

Additional Details:

  • Training period of up to two weeks.
  • Work-from-home after conversion to a full-time employee.
  • Schedule entails a Monday to Friday 8-hour shift between 7 AM to 7 PM.
  • Business casual dress code.
