Call Center Representative

Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM

Pay: $18/hr

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY -- ON SITE

Responsibilities:

Processing all aspects of scheduling a patient's surgery:

• Act as the liaison between the patient, physicians and surgical facility.
• Meeting and/or patient to discuss the surgical process.
• Obtain necessary authorizations.
• Schedule pre-surgical testing.
• Assist in maintaining physician OR block time with all facilities.
• Receive incoming live calls and triage to appropriate MD or clinical staff.
• Triage appointments for phone/ reception staff looking for appropriate patient appointments.
• Throughout the day retrieve phone message left on both the main line and prescription refill line; forwarding these messages to MD's and their medical assistants.
• Take incoming calls from the ER's and send to MD/PA on call.
• Receive incoming calls from outside facilities with reference to patient testing, or other needs; providing any information to ensure complete medical care as dictated by our medical doctors.

• Qualified candidates must possess superior organizational skills and be focused on patient safety and satisfaction.
• You must be able to interact with the patients, physicians and outside facilities in a professional manner to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Must be able to handle a high volume of telephone calls while maintaining superb customer service.
