Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Billing Specialist, you will...

  • Enter members served information, enrollment, eligibility information and billing data into County IRIS.
  • Reconcile Caminar data to County IRIS data to ensure that all services have been billed accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Perform computer interface (uploads) of data to Corporate office.
  • Update Health Benefit eligibility verification for all members served on a monthly basis.
  • AssistsBusiness Office Manager with all aspects of payroll preparation, accounts payable, and invoice research.
  • Assists the Business Office Manager with private insurance billing, verifying coverage and mailing bills.
  • Verify benefit status on new members served.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.

Education and/or Experience:

Computer Skills: Insurance Portals, Microsoft Applications (Excel), Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Systems
