Job description

Hiring a full time Medical Biller in Green Bay Wisconsin! On site with ability to go hybrid after training.

Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm or 7am-3:30pm

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Performs cash/payment posting and EOB analysis on a detailed line item basis, ensuring payments
and adjustments are properly applied and that payments reconcile to EOB's received by remitters.
 Escalates unidentified payments and incomplete claims appropriately.
 Processes payments received from a variety of sources and clients including multiple insurance
plans/types, 3rd parties, and patients.
 Ensures deductibles, coinsurance, copays, denials and/or other charges are properly populated or
data entered in the file.
 Researches payments received, but not identified to establish correct account to post payments.
Works with client to resolve and/or correct issues with rejects, posting errors or missing
information.
 Determines correct insurance mnemonic is used to ensure EOB information is properly matched to
posting template to ensure data is as complete and accurate as possible.
 Ensures timely completion of cash/payment posted to follow client specifications.
 Helps the VES team as a resource and assists with special projects as assigned.
 Verify accuracy of monthly postings and communicates totals to leadership.
 Review processes and identifies any opportunities for improvement.
 Maintain a professional work relationship with all clients and associates.
 Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:


 High school diploma or equivalent.
 Certificate, Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
 2 years revenue cycle healthcare billing, collections experience and/or managed cared experience
preferred.
 Working knowledge of 10 Key/data entry skills, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
 Strong decision-making skills.
 Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
 Accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, investigative, and decision-making
skills required.
 Good understanding of accounting principles and applications such as Accounts Receivable posting
along with medical insurance and patient billing.
 Proven record of dependability.
 Familiarity of all insurance plan types: Federal, State, PPO, HMO, etc.
 Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes along with appropriate governmental and
commercial reimbursement associated with these codes preferred.
 Effective verbal, written communication and positive interpersonal skills.
 Ability to use tact and diplomacy with internal customers in all situations.
 Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
 Maintain knowledge and ability to perform company business within the United States of America,
and at international locations designated by the Company.
