Medix is currently hiring a Billing Coordinator within a Women's Health Private Practice in Wellesley!

• Full time, M-F 7:30a-4:30p, open to discussion for part-time hours.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for charge entry, and posting payments from third party payers and patients.

• Following up with both third party payers and patients on delinquent or unpaid claims.

• Proficiency in Epic, including billing work queues, ability to monitor aging insurance buckets, following up with carriers for all claims not adjudicated within 45 days following submission.

• Ability to navigate payer resources, and have familiarity with insurance company process.

• Ability to communicate insurance regulations and plan parameters to staff and stakeholders.

• Analyzing receivables by payer to identify payer-specific problem areas then implementing a plan of action for resolution.

• Field questions and concerns from patients (over the phone and in person) regarding their accounts with sensitivity and firmness.

• CPC or CPC A.

• Any other billing related tasks as assigned by the Revenue Cycle Manager.

• 125 patient visits per day- busy practice- working in a team of 4

Requirements:

• 2+ Years Physician Billing Experience
• Knowledge with navigating health plans
