Bilingual Nurse Practitioner (Direct Hire)

Overview

Baptist Medical Network/Tenet Heatlhcare is need of 1 Bilingual NP for the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgical Institute (Not a contract role / Employment is Direct Hire)
Schedule: Varies. M-F, not earlier than 7:30am and no later than 6pm. Dependent on patient schedule
- Tuesdays are mostly out-patient days
- Monday & Wed-Fri are mostly in-patient days (they may see 1-2 patients in office if needed)
- No on call
Salary: 150K-190K
Experience: 3+ years of in-patient experience
- ICU or CVU (cardiovascular unit) experience is ideal
- out-patient cardio experience is a plus
- cardio surgery experience is great
- 10+ years is ideal
This NP will primarily be in the hospital and will see patients in their out-patient clinic for follow ups or new patient appointments

Certifications:
- Registered NP
- MSN degree
- BLS
- DEA certification (controlled substances)

Environment: NP will be assisting 2-3 surgeons with their patient lists. Generally, they will be seeing 25-30 patients per day (the bulk of their patients are seen in the hospital)
Responsibilities: pre and post op care, wound care, suture/tube removal, ordering imaging, medication, scheduling rehab, interpreting orders/results, documentation, etc.
Soft Skills: needs to be able to direct the hospital RNs effectively, strong personality, likes to be on their feet and busy
Interviews: In-person
- will need to interview with 7 people total (3 surgeons and 4 PAs). Hopefully this can be done in one interview together, but that's dependent on everyone's schedule lineing up.
