Job description

Fully remote opportunity!

*Must be able to utilize your own equipment (cannot use a Mac computer)*

Must be fluent in English and Spanish (Ability to read, write and speak in both languages)

Active Health and Life Insurance license in your state of residence required

Knowledge of insurance products such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Ancillary benefits

Hours - Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm EST

  • Ability to support the communication and enrollment of core and voluntary employee benefits in a call center enrollment.
  • Enrolls employees with carriers and processes life status changes, as they apply.
  • Educate employees about their benefits and suggest options based on employee needs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret customer needs and educate on available benefits.
  • Communicate information thoroughly and perform work completely and accurately.
  • Enter information accurately into the enrollment system.
  • Become authority on each client's benefits to provide a "WOW' enrollment experience by exceeding expectations in customer service and enrollment time.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations
  • Email (as needed) required enrollment documentation to employee
  • Document all interactions/information into the daily call log.
  • Submit weekly call log for database management
  • Ability to handle multiple client enrollments simultaneously.
  • Follow up on outstanding items with enrollee.
  • Enjoy working in a team centered environment where continuous learning is part of your day-to-day
  • Adaptable to work in a changing environment and to seek feedback and incorporate it into your day-to-day activities.
  • Make outbound calls to newly eligible employees and follow-up calls to resolve outstanding items.
  • Forward service requests to BEEC manager, AM or HR, as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including the ability to navigate dual computer screens, work with a variety of enrollment systems, web tools, and ability to set up computer for remote work environment.
  • The Benefits Counselor collaborates with the Account Manager and the Call Center Manager to ensure that client standards and requirements are met during benefits consultations with the client's Benefit Enrollment Period.
  • Be polite and courteous to all customers and staff. Always maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Ensures the accuracy and understanding of all benefits available on all enrollments assigned.
