Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter and update employee information, payroll data, and benefits details in HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Benefits Reporting: Manage and generate reports related to various employee benefits, including leaves, enrollments, and ACA compliance.
  • Onboarding Documentation: Assist in the onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documents are completed and eligibility is verified through E-Verify.
  • Payroll Administration: Collaborate with our payroll vendor to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including handling pay changes, address updates, and required documentation.
  • Employee Communication: Serve as the frontline contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, providing clear and helpful information.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee benefits administration tasks, including managing feeds, enrollment systems, and coordinating with our benefits broker.
  • HRIS Management: Utilize Paylocity for various HR and payroll functions, ensuring the system is up-to-date and operating smoothly.
  • Documentation and Learning: Continuously learn and document new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Hunger for Learning: Demonstrates a strong desire to learn and grow within the role.
  • Reliability: Consistently dependable and committed to long-term employment with our team.
  • Benefits and Payroll Knowledge: Basic understanding of payroll and benefits administration.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees and vendors.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Critical Thinking and Entrepreneurial Spirit: Ability to think critically and approach problems with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excel Proficiency: Competent in using Excel for documentation and reporting tasks.
  • Experience with Paylocity: Familiarity with Paylocity HRIS and payroll systems is a plus.
  • Benefits Broker Coordination: Experience working with benefits brokers, especially small firms.
