Job description

The Behavioral Health Technician will support and complement client's recovery and ongoing treatment goals. You will report to the Nursing Director.

Job Summary:

To provide direct support to clients in an integrated behavioral health program located in a community mental health center.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage data entry, tracking, and scheduling to support disease management and a stepped care approach
  • Obtain and record client vital signs and report client history summary
  • Participate and support the Behavioral Health Home care model and work with providers to monitor health and follow-up of clients
  • Provide case management support to clients for wellness services and basic needs
  • Dispense medications and maintain Medication Administration Records
  • Refer internally for case management support for wellness services and basic needs
  • Outreaches to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and other healthcare providers
  • Obtain and verify client financial and demographic information and ensure client data is entered into the electronic health record
  • Other responsibilities as assigned as this list is not all inclusive

Education/Experience/License/Certification

  • Two (2) years experience
  • Must maintain an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CNA) or have current QMAP certification required
  • Experience in direct client care in a behavioral health, hospital, medical office, residential treatment center, homeless shelter, or other community agency setting

Pay Rate:

$17.70 - $23.23 per hour
