Job description

Position: Back Office Medical Assistant

Location: Suprise, Sun City, and Glendale openings

Pay: $18-$23/hour (set pay scale depending upon years of experience)

Schedule: M-F 8AM-5PM

Overview of Responsibilities (NOT limited to the following):
1. Prepare exam rooms for patient visits, anticipating patient and provider needs by assuring the
room is clean and equipped with the necessary equipment and supplies.
2. Review patient charts to identify any special needs or missing information
3. Call patients from the waiting room and escort them to the exam room
4. Take and record patient vital signs (scribing)
5. Confirm medications and key elements of medical history, document any changes
6. Assist the Provider with the exam as directed
7. Document services provided for billing purposes
8. Do diagnostic procedures as assigned
9. Document care delivered, and treatment plan prescribed
10. Provide patient education as directed
11. Pull medication samples as prescribed
12. Perform phone triage duties including documenting calls and messages
13. Give injections as prescribed; including immunotherapy per protocol
14. Review diagnostic tests by outside providers; document in the medical record and alert
provider to positive results; notify patients of diagnostic results per protocol
15. Assist in obtaining prior authorizations for medications and services ordered by the Provider
16. Provide strong team support in all Medical MA assignments
17. Assist with training new staff; attend staff meetings as requested
18. Perform other duties as assigned

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
1+ years of experience
MA Diploma
HS Diploma
