Quality Control Analyst

Quality Control Analyst

Bedford Park, IL 60501

Monday - Friday, 6PM to 4AM (Overnights + Overtime to be expected)

Pay: $20-22/HR

Duration: 6 month contract to direct hire

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or related sciences OR equivalent combination of hands on relevant work experience
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Availability for occasional weekend and after-hour coverage.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct analytical tests independently and accurately as outlined in test procedures.
  • Collect and test samples within the expected timeframe, ensuring proper storage.
  • Gather samples of incoming supplies, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Perform non-routine procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible test records in accordance with company policy and record-keeping procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines following Good Laboratory Practices and lab safety requirements.
  • Ensure a clean work area and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by laboratory management.
  • Support operations by maintaining a communication log and transferring information to lab personnel to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the lab's validated state.
  • Help with equipment maintenance, including routine maintenance and resolving common issues with instruments.
  • Collaborate with a technical team in a multicultural and diverse work environment to achieve common goals.
