Job description

Medix is now hiring Associate Clinicians for Outpatient Clinics in Orange County!

  • Locations Available: Laguna Woods, Costa Mesa, and Santa Ana
  • Pay: $28.00-$33.00
  • Supervised Hours: 35-40 supervised hours a week.
  • Population: Adults (18+), Mild to Moderate, Outpatient, Group Sessions
  • Shift: Mon-Fri (8am-5pm or 9am-6pm)
  • Type: Contract to Hire (Perm after 20 weeks)

Requirements:

  • Must be a BBS Registered ACSW, AMFT, or, APCC
  • Preferably 2 years of clinical experience preferred but we are open to new grads!
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Duties:

  • Facilitates group treatment using approved curricula and techniques.
  • Conducts initial patient assessments and develops treatment plans.
  • Prepares, updates, and reviews treatment plans in accordance with policies and team input.
  • Documents patient progress, incidents, and unusual occurrences accurately and promptly.
  • Ensures complete and accurate medical records, addressing omissions or errors with the Program Director.
  • Completes discharge summaries and manages transitions efficiently.
  • Engages in public relations and educational activities as assigned.
  • Demonstrates competency in addressing the needs of adult patients (18+), building therapeutic relationships, and facilitating goal achievement.
  • Maintains regular communication with care providers and stakeholders regarding treatment plans, progress, and discharge.
  • Monitors patient attendance and follows up on issues, initiating behavioral contracts when needed.
  • Coordinates with physicians and counsels patients on funding issues.
  • Adheres to mandatory reporting laws and accurately follows billing procedures.
  • Conducts timely insurance reviews and manages patient crises effectively.
