Job Title: Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Overview: The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for managing the complete revenue cycle process, ensuring timely and accurate billing, payment collection, and compliance with healthcare regulations. This position works closely with various departments, including billing, coding, insurance, and patient accounts, to optimize financial performance and maintain an efficient flow of revenue from patient services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Billing and Coding:

    • Review patient records and clinical documentation to ensure accurate and complete coding for services rendered.
    • Submit claims to insurance companies, government programs, and other third-party payers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Track claim status and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to resolve issues promptly.
  2. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Generate regular reports on billing, collections, and accounts receivable metrics.
    • Analyze trends in payment delays, denials, or rejections to identify opportunities for process improvements.
    • Work with management to implement strategies for improving revenue cycle efficiency and reducing outstanding receivable.
