Job description

HIRING A REMOTE MEDICAL BILLER / AR COLLECTOR!

MUST SIT OUT OF WA OR OR

Schedule:

  • 6am-6pm - set schedule for training. After 2-3 weeks, opportunity to transiiton to 4'10s

Pay:

  • Bewteen $19-$25/hr depending on experience and qualifications

Day to day:

    1. Insurance Claims Processing:

      • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients.
      • Prepare and submit accurate electronic and paper claims to insurance companies.
      • Monitor claim status, follow up on unpaid or rejected claims, and appeal if necessary.
    2. Accounts Receivable Management:

      • Review and process patient invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with insurance regulations.
      • Follow up on outstanding balances and initiate collections procedures as needed.
      • Maintain up-to-date records of collections activities and account status.
    3. Payment Processing:

      • Post payments from patients and insurance companies accurately.
      • Apply adjustments and reconcile accounts receivable transactions.
    4. Patient Communication and Support:

      • Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries and account balances.
      • Explain insurance coverage, payment options, and financial responsibilities clearly and professionally.
      • Address patient concerns and resolve billing issues promptly.
    5. Documentation and Reporting:

      • Maintain detailed and organized records of billing transactions, collections efforts, and communications with insurance providers and patients.
      • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collections status, and financial performance.
    6. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

      • Stay informed about medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10) and insurance regulations.
      • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies regarding patient information confidentiality and data security.

Benefits:
- In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
