ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THE ROLE
Medix is currently seeking an Ancillary Clinical Applications Analyst / Project Manager. This is for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our healthcare clients - a large, non-for-profit health system encompassing hospitals all across the US.
Our client has grown significantly through M&A activity. This role will be joining a Specialty / Ancillary Applications team to help support upgrades and standardization of Nurse Call / Nurse Scheduling applications across the organization - products such as QGenda, Dayforce, Nursegrid, Rauland's Responder, etc.
The ideal candidate will have worked with a blend of 3rd party specialty / Ancillary Clinical Applications (non EHR, non-Imaging). The position requires strong Project Management skill, with a Clinical / IT background to navigate the diverse portfolio of applications. Strong vendor partnership and internal coordination within IT teams will be required
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working in a team environment to manage the application lifecycle for a number of 3rd party non-EHR clinical applications used across the enterprise health system (75+ hospitals)
- Assigned Ancillary Applications will include Nurse Scheduling & Nurse Call software - West-Com, QGenda, Dayforce, Nursegrid, Rauland, Medicall, Vocera as examples
- Primary responsibilities will be to independently managing the application lifecycle for the assigned 3rd party specialty / Ancillary Applications
- Coordinating with vendors and ensuring timelines are being met / adhered to
- Coordinating installations / change windows
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting procedures, and FAQs, to assist users in resolving common issues
- Testing / Validating changes work before rolling out to production
- Providing clear and concise updates on project status
- This role involves significant interaction and coordination with Clinical Vendors, clinical staff and IT Engineers for successful implementation, upgrade and go-live activities.
- This role will also communicate with internal customers to understand their specific needs and challenges in utilizing these clinical applications - and be the liaison between clinical users and vendors
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Required 5+ years of professional experience in a Hospital setting
- Hands-on experience supporting 3rd party specialty / ancillary clinical applications - preferably in the Nurse Scheduling / Nurse Call specialty
- Excellent ability to independently manage projects
- Strong communication skills
- Must have hands-on experience managing the lifecycle for a portfolio of Ancillary Imaging / Clinical Applications
- Required knowledge / experience with IT - such as Identity & Access Management, Security Groups, Provisioning, etc
- Strong analytical troubleshooting abilities
