Job description

A Revenue Cycle Management company in Lewisville, TX is looking for experienced Insurance Follow-Up Representatives to join their team.

The Insurance Follow Up Representatives will be working to resolve outstanding patient accounts for a large Pediatrics practice.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track claim statuses, identifying and resolving claim rejections or denials promptly.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with insurance companies to check on claim statuses and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Review and appeal denied claims as necessary, adhering to deadlines and requirements.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of insurance regulations, billing guidelines, and coding updates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with payer requirements.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to billing and collections, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Hybrid Expectations:

  • 2 days onsite (Wednesdays & Thursdays) per week

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in professional medical billing and insurance follow-up.
  • Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of insurance claim submission processes and familiarity with various payer guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with insurance companies and internal stakeholders effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be willing to undergo Background Check and Drug Screen upon hire
  • Education & Employment Verification upon hire

Schedule: Monday-Friday, start time between 7am-8:30am (30 minute lunch)

Pay: $18-24 per hour depending on experience


Length: 1040 hours (approx. 6 months) Contract Opportunity with Medix (possibility of long term employment following).

Benefits provided by Medix:

In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment.
