Seeking out a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant

Duties:

• Working in Medical Oncology clinic under a physician
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for individual patients; provide education.
• Assist physicians and perform procedures as needed; conduct patient assessments and provide physician with information prior to seeing the patient.
• Complete patient office bill.
• Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response within practice protocol; prescribe drug therapies per protocol/physician consultation.
• May supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff.
• Provide case management for oncology clients and their families.

Hours/Schedule-

• This is a Monday-Friday position
• Typically 8am start time, 8 hour days
• 4 days are in clinic seeing patients and 1 days is an admin day (Charting, reviewing labs, dictations, returning calls, etc.)
• They can do their admin day in the clinic or remotely at home
