Job description

Medix is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant to a Registered Nurse at a Mental Health center in Los Angeles, 90005.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs clerical duties (e.g. filing, faxing, photocopying, scanning, typing, emailing, generating letters) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assists the Registered Nurse oversee the daily operations of various tasks.
  • Coordinates medical and psychiatric care.
  • Obtains medical documents from outside providers.
  • Tracks paper flow into and out of the office.
  • Coordinates client transportation.
  • Conducts weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation reviews for quality assurance.
  • Communicates accurate writing and oral messages.
  • Types miscellaneous documents for Registered Nurse.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information.

Requirements / Experience:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details.

  • Experience working in a medical setting.

  • Outstanding multi-tasking skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects and work well under time/other constraints.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both oral and written)

Preferred requirements:

  • Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Community Care Licensing (CCL) background clearance.
  • TB clearance.
  • California Driver's License.
  • Driving record acceptable for coverage by Gateways insurance carrier.
  • Fire and Safety Training*.
  • First Aid Training Certification*.
  • CPR Certification*.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
  • Desired Education: 4-year College Degree preferred.

Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday 8:00- 5:00 pm

Pay range:

$24/hr
