ACT Team Leader

Job description

Responsible for a mix of administrative duties and providing direct clinical care. At least 50% of your time will be allocated to managing program operations. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience overseeing a behavioral health program and supervising its staff, with preference given to those who have managed Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) or mobile crisis teams. Additional qualifications include clinical experience supporting individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and/or Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and coordinating services related to housing, healthcare, education, and employment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the Chief Clinical Officer.
  • Overseeing daily clinical operations and ensuring staff coverage and scheduling.
  • Facilitating daily team meetings and service planning sessions.
  • Managing client admissions and coordinating assessments and treatment plans.
  • Partnering with Human Resources to recruit and hire team members.
  • Setting up, organizing, and maintaining office operations.
  • Managing the program budget and service funds effectively.
  • Supervising clinical documentation and record-keeping processes.
  • Conducting quality assurance activities in partnership with the QA Director.
  • Adhering to program policies and procedures.
  • Acting as a liaison to educate community partners about ACT services.
  • Organizing on-call and crisis response coverage.
  • Overseeing a team of 6.

Requirements:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Mental Health Counseling (MHC) is required.
  • Experience with ACT is strongly preferred.

  • Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
  • Field based - Queens
