Medix is currently seeking an Accounting Consultant for a contract opportunity with one of our Global Manufacturing clients. Our client is currently going through a large ERP Implementation, which is taking a number of resources away from key accounting operations.

This consultant will be joining the corporate team as a consultant to assist with a variety of Accounting & Finance operations needs. Please note that the work location for this role is hybrid on-site in Schaumburg, 3 days / week.

Responsibilities & Tasks may include:

• Recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions within a global manufacturing industry.
• Preparing and generating Financial Reports such as corporate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Bookkeeping, in keeping track of day-to-day financial activities, ensuring that transactions are correctly recorded and categorized.
• Assisting with corporate tax filings and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Conducting financial analysis - analyzing financial data to identify trends, making financial predictions, and providing insights that can aid in decision-making.
• Reviewing and auditing financial records to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Assisting with special projects, including GL reporting maintenance

Requires qualifications & experience

• Local to Chicagoland area, willing to work onsite in Schaumburg 3 days / week
• Minimum 5+ years as an Accountant / Corporate Controller
• CPA Designation highly desirable
• Manufacturing industry experience highly desirable
