Job description

Medix is currently hiring for a Visual Inspector to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing group that we partner with in Irvine, CA! If you have previous experience inspecting pharmceutical products filled into vials, syringes or other containers, cconsider applying today.

Overview:

  • Visual inspection is a technique for detecting defects using the naked eye to ensure equipment is working properly or that manufactured products are being made to specification
  • Ensuring the timely setup of equipment and materials for each production run.
  • Planning and preparing all necessary resources for various processes and activities.
  • Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities.
  • Demonstrating exceptional aseptic techniques with precise, deliberate movements.
  • Participating in product filling, including aseptic processing and media fill qualifications.
  • Upholding the cleanliness and maintenance of cleanroom facilities and equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) documentation standards.
  • Maintains accurate Batch Production Records to comply with regulatory requirements and acts as subject matter expert for revisions or improvements to manufacturing documents.
  • Skillfully preparing media critical for production processes.
  • Conducting manual cleaning of small parts and equipment to maintain hygiene and efficiency.
  • Prepares products for final shipment, including packaging and labeling of vials.
  • Applies job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a wide range of tasks.
  • Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Ability to be flexible and support all functions by readily responding to changing circumstances (i.e. shift changes) and business needs.

Requirements:

  • 1 year experience in a GMP regulated manufacturing facility
  • Previous experience completing Batch Records or other production records
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Open minded, team player and collaborative demeanor
