Job description

We're expanding our team and seeking a dedicated full-time Quality Control Inspector for the 1st shift to assist us in our mission of delivering top-notch products that exceed customer expectations. This role entails supporting various production processes, including high-volume production and rapid product development, focusing on our core competencies: CNC, Milling, Mill-Turning, Swiss, and EDM services. We're looking for a candidate skilled in dimensional and visual inspection techniques crucial for manufacturing precision machined components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-process inspections (both visual and dimensional) of precision components with tight tolerances, meticulously recording and analyzing inspection data.
  • Serve as the NCR Leader, initiating, investigating, and resolving product disposition for nonconforming material in accordance with our Nonconforming Report procedure.
  • Assist in statistical process control, sampling plans, parts measurement, data analysis, root cause analysis, corrective action, and other Quality System activities.
  • Collaborate with machinists to ensure high-quality product outcomes during the manufacturing process.
  • Identify and communicate quality issues to manufacturing staff and Lead Inspector for resolution following established procedures.
  • Support ISO 13485 compliance efforts and collaborate with Engineers on new product development initiatives.
  • Regularly interface with ERP software, JobBOSS software, and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all inspection activities on reports and travelers, ensuring adherence to good documentation practices.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of inspection records to uphold quality standards.

Schedule: M-F 7 am to 4 pm with some OT until 4:30 pm

Qualifications:

  • Quality inspection experience (Quality Inspection, Quality Testing, and Receipt of Materials) in the medical device industry or regulated environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
  • Understand and utilize Acceptance Sampling Plans using AQL sampling and 100% inspection.
