Job Title: Medical Assistant

Pay: $17-20/hr

Overview:

The medical assistant assists the physician in providing excellent patient care within the office environment. Obtains and records accurate patient medical history. Measures and records vital signs. Obtains and records medication and allergy details for each patient. Attempts to assist the physician in keeping patient wait times to a minimum by being organized and prepared. Assists in the preparation of patient charts and obtaining relevant test results on patients.

Front and Back Office MA-60% front office

Front office duties:

• Scheduling appointments
• Ordering prescription refills
• Handing inbound calls
• Pre-op instructions
• Prior Authorizations

Back Office Duties

• Assisting provider
• Rooming patients
• Restocking rooms
• Vitals

1:1 MA to Provider ratio

About 10-15 patients a day

Possibility of going to other sites (2-3 times a month) Depending upon providers schedule is provided a month in advance.

Job qualifications include:

• 1-2 Years of Medical Assisting experience (open to new grads)
• MA school diploma (required)
• EMR experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Great Customer Service Skills
