Job description

Our client is looking to hire a temporary (around 4 months) front and back office Medical Assistant to join their practice in Los Angeles!

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
  • Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
  • Collect co-payments and other fees.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
  • Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician's examination.
  • Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
  • Assist physicians or nurses during medical procedures and examinations.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood draws, urine tests, and EKGs.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant Diploma
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English

Pay: $19-20/hour DOE
