Job Posting: Medical Assistant (MA) - Clinical

Job Description Summary: We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will assist physicians with medical procedures in-office, perform laboratory testing, and ensure quality control procedures are followed. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen handling, and documentation of testing and treatments.

Primary Key Performance Areas:

  • Perform proper quality control procedures before patient testing.
  • Conduct laboratory blood work and blood draws according to procedures.
  • Prepare and evaluate blood or bone marrow slides.
  • Maintain records, logs, and checklists to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assist physicians with medical procedures such as bone marrows, fine needle aspirates, and pelvic exams.
  • Document testing and treatments in medical records and charge patients for services.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and perform troubleshooting on laboratory instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
  • Ability to triage patients, take vitals, room patients, and handle phone calls.
  • Proficiency in charting and documentation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Full-Time position.
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
