Medical Assistant
Job description
- Greet and register patients as they arrive
- Monitor patient flow and obtain vital signs and initial information
- Prepare patients for x-rays
- Perform routine labs such as throat and urine cultures
- Irrigate and assist with wounds
- Call in prescriptions
- Perform other duties as needed, including apply splints and assisting the nurse and/or doctor in other medical procedures
- Being comfortable with newborn/toddlers
- Comfortable learning, being trained and performing phlebotomy on pediatric patients
- Must be comfortable in Pediatrics
