Medical Assistant

Medix is hiring a medical assistant for a Urology group in St. Pete.

Clinical duties: Taking medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician during the examination.

Administrative duties: Answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patients' medical records, filling out insurance forms, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging for hospital admission and laboratory services.

• 1+ year of clinical MA experience
• Active BLS certification
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Specialty experience preferred over Primary Care

• Epic EMR experience
• Urology, Gastro or Gyno experience is a plus
• MA Certification preferred, but not required
• Outpatient / physician office experience

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
