Medical Assistant
Job description
Location - Avon IN, 46123
Pay - 17 to 19 an hour based on prior experience
Hours -
- Mon & Tues: 730AM - 530PM
- Weds: 1030AM - 530PM
- Thurs: 10AM - 530PM
- Fri: 730AM - 4PM
Day to day:
- Will be doing about 80% direct patient care and 20% administrative duties
- Duties include: Chart prep, rooming patients, vitals, med history, x-rays, castings (on and off), will be trained on custom casting for molding of braces, wound care, sutures & staples, changing of wound dressings, will be trained on diabetic shoeing, assist with xrays, etc.
- After 1 year of proven work ethic, performance, etc. the company will pay for the MA to become certified in podiatric imaging
- Can expect to room 15-20 patients/day
- Administrative duties will include charting, putting in orders, requesting of medical records, prior authorizations, etc., prior auths, will be navigating online insurance portals
- Not responsible for outbound calls, may have to support inbound calls as needed
- EMR: iSalus
Expereince required:
- Looking for 6 months of MA experience
- Need to have worked within an EMR system before
- Some light experience with the process of rooming patients
