Mechanical Assembler

Medix Engineering is seeking Mechanical Assemblers to join our team in Darien, WI to assist in the fabrication of sub assemblies and final assemblies of industrial power generators. With a second production facility that has recently opened, there is a need for additional support on the first shift. This is a 3 month contract to hire paying $21 / hour. The hours are Monday - Saturday, 5:00AM - 3:30PM. This means $1,470 a week in your pocket with overtime! We do provide full training with great opportunity for career growth.

Responsibiltiies:

• Follow blueprints to build sub assemblies and final assemblies of generators (not on an assembly line).
• Use of hand and power tools (provided by company).
• Comfortable climbing / working on a ladder and scissor lift.
• Use of inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for quality control.

Requirements:

• Must be willing to Monday - Saturday.
• Must own steel toed boots.
• Able to pass and drug and background check.
• Prior expeirence working with hand tools or power tools preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and 'self-starter' mentality.
