Job description

Looking for a Lead Inspector with previous experience in a contract manufacturing environment. This would be a direct hire role working for a growing medical device contract manufacturing company. It would be a 1st shift schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide QC Inspectors, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain inspection methods and records for all products.
  • Oversee inspections to verify product conformance with specifications.
  • Review and execute inspection plans for final products.
  • Collaborate with vendors to uphold quality standards.
  • Train personnel on quality procedures and systems.
  • Effectively communicate quality issues and resolutions.
  • Monitor production deadlines and address potential issues.
  • Supervise Inspector team and provide ongoing training.
  • Represent inspection department in customer visits and audits.
  • Maintain and calibrate measuring instruments.
  • Ensure traceability of products and materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address quality concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Conduct daily product audits.
  • Ensure calibration of measuring devices.
  • Support internal non-conformance and CAPA activities.
  • Work with production teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and environmental controls.

Schedule: M-F 7 am to 4:30 pm

Qualifications:

  • Contract manufacturer organization background
  • 3 years of lead experience
  • 9001 or 13485 experience
  • Experience with CMM (coordinate measuring machine)
  • Able to read Blue prints and perform GD&T
  • Work overtime and weekends as required
