Insurance Follow-up Representative

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Follow-up Representative to join a growing healthcare revenue cycle management company remotely! The candidate is able to work from home, but must reside in the Wilmington, NC area.

Insurance Follow-up Representative Daily Responsibilities:

• Performing accounts receivable follow up with commercial insurance payers (primarily BCBS) on hospital and clinic claims (UB-04's and CMS 1500's)
• Following up via payer portals and phone as needed for timely payment
• Investigating denials and sending appeals
• Handling adjustment requests
• Working on average up to 45 claims per day, though this volume varies depending on if you are assigned high dollar or low dollar claims
• Utilizing company's EMR system: Cerner (no prior experience needed, but a plus if a candidate has used Cerner before)
• No patient communication; only communicating with insurance
  
  

Insurance Follow-up Representative Schedule: M-F full time standard business hours

Insurance Follow-up Representative Pay & Benefits:

• $18-20/hr based on experience
