Job description

Job Title: Remote Insurance Advisor

Location: Remote

Pay: $17 - $19/hr

Summary:

Seeking a motivated Remote Insurance Advisor with strong healthcare experience! The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have experience in resolving insurance claims issues. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to the efficiency of our insurance claims process.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various collection actions, including contacting patients and insurance carriers by phone or through online platforms.
  • Communicate professionally with insurance carrier representatives to resolve claims and establish relationships that facilitate efficient claims processing.
  • Understand and resolve rejections, denials, insufficient payments, and unpaid claims.
  • Correctly resubmit and appeal claims to third-party payers when necessary.
  • Accurately enter and update patient demographics, insurance information, and any other relevant data to facilitate account resolution.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate accounts receivable challenges and opportunities to the management team, contributing ideas and solutions.
  • Report payor issues/trends, including the number of accounts and dollars associated with each issue.
  • Handle correspondence daily and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Accomplish projects as a team member or individually as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, objectives, HIPAA regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in insurance claims processing or a related field preferred.
  2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
  5. Proficiency in using online platforms for communication and data entry.
  6. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
