Job description

Summary:
The CT Technologist is responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal structures and organs. They ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT scans according to physician orders and protocols.
  • Prepare patients for CT procedures, explaining the process and answering questions.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain the best images and ensure patient comfort.
  • Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality images, adjusting settings as necessary.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their safety and responding to any adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide diagnostic assistance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of CT scan room and equipment.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper use and storage of radioactive materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay updated on advancements in CT technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certifications.

Requirements:

  • Radiology Tech program graduate
  • Current and valid Florida State License (CRT)
  • Current and valid Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry and CT (CT) registry
  • BLS through American Heart Association

Pay: $57,553/year-$83.803/year depending on experience

Hours: Full Time - Need Flexibility
