ED Registrar

We are seeking a ED Registrar to join a reputable healthcare consulting organization located in downtown Chicago!

Daily Responsibilities:

greeting patients, triaging, collecting demographics, verifying insurance information, and completing the registration process in the ER, utilizing EPIC. Will also be doing any pre-collections that they can on the front end. The team typically rotates between doing admitting and registration at the desk and bedside-- they will spend time at the front desk and on the move/walking around the ED. Candidates will be expected to work with urgency and be able to walk around the ED pretty frequently.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday 11pm-7:30am, with rotating weekends
• Opportunities to work overtime

Requirements:

• Strong insurance verification skills or registration exp.
• Ability to type 30 words per minute at minimum
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
• Working experience in a face to face environment either in the healthcare or hospital setting
