Job description

Medix is looking to hire a Spanish Bilingual Front Desk representative in the Dental department to join a well established, non-profit community health center in Lynwood, CA 90262.

Responsibilities:

  1. Patient appointment scheduling and confirmation. Provide accurate direction and instructions to customers when they enter the Center.
  2. Accurate and timely registration of patients for the various dental and specialty departments.
  3. Responsible for handling all outside telephone calls to the Center and processing them accordingly.
  4. Responsible for maintaining accurate patient demographics and updating data in the patient's chart and in the computer.
  5. Confirm patient payment method and process patient's dental insurance information.
  6. Responsible for completing, process and following up with all internal and external dental referrals.
  7. Responsible for demonstrating good customer service standards in dealing with people both in-person or via telephone in English and Spanish languages.

Requirements / Experience

  • Must be Spanish bilingual
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Registration/ Front desk experience in the medical/dental field
  • Insurance verification (highly preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook required

Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday 7:30- 4:30 pm
    • Training will be provided in DT LA 90015 for the duration of initial 2 weeks of hire or longer, as needed
  • On-site

Pay range:

$17-18/hr BOE
