Certified Medical Assistant
Job description
- Triage the patients
- Send orders for the provider's signature
- Prepare collected specimens for transport to the routing laboratory
- Turn over exam rooms
- Cleaning and disinfecting between patients
- Perform point of care testing; such as urine pregnancy tests, urinalysis and guaiac testing.
- Assist with minor office procedures; such as IUD insertion and removal, Nexplanon insertion and removal, In office hysteroscopy (Endosee)/endometrial biopsy, colposcopy and LEEP procedures.
- Perform all of the duties required of our MAs.
- Support busy OBGYN clinic
- Taking vitals
- Urine dips
- Pregnancy tests
- Injections and vaccinations
- Assist with surgical procedures (putting in/taking out IUDs, Colposcopy )
- Seeing around 20 patients a day, need to be comfortable taking manual vitals (knowing what cuff to put on for the size patient if the automatic isn't working)
