Job description

Overview

When fully staffed. this Medical Assistant will be working a 1:1.5 ratio with providers. Responsibilities will largely be back office - rooming patients, taking vitals, helping manage in the Inbasket and providing immunizations. It is a family practice, so they see a variety of patients. Bilingual candidates are preferred but there is translation services for candidates who only speak English. Candidates stepping into this role can expect to be rooming up to 18 patients in a given shift.

  • Rooming patients in a high volume setting (50-80 patients a day with an average of 5-10 per hour)
  • Administering immunizations such as the influnezation shot, covid immunizations and boosters
  • Documentation of the vaccines and making sure vaccinations are crossing into the state registry
  • sanitizing and prepping rooms for patients
  • Recording patient medical history into EMR system (EPIC)

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications

WA State MA License ,

Nice to Have Skills

Epic Experience , Bilingual (Not required but candidates need to be open to working with translation systems)
