Job description

Medical Assistant

401 15th Ave SE, Puyallup, WA 98372

An Oncology Clinic in Puyallup, WA is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their newly formed Breast Surgical Oncology team. This is a newer service offered at this location and they are in the process of building it from the bottom up.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients for post-op, follow-up, and new patient consults
  • Obtain vital signs and medical history supporting the management of patient volume
  • Assist with in-office procedures and in the room assisting and chaperoning as requested
  • Clean exams room, assist with stocking supplies, and letting managers know when supplies are low
  • Assist with paperwork including FMLA, and genetic testing paperwork

Training:

On the job training in Tacoma for 2 weeks

Requirements:

  • MA-C Certification Through the Washington State DOH
  • 1 + Years of Experience

Additional Skills:

  • Works well in a team
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Open with communication
  • Previous oncology experience
  • EPIC experience
  • Optimistic and enthusiastic

Schedule/Shift:

  • 4 10's or 5 8's

Contract Length:

Mon - Fri 730 AM - 400 PM OR 730 AM - 600 PM (candidate has flexibility to work 4 10 hour shifts or 5 8 hour shifts)

Pay:

$20 - $28 (Dependant on experience)
