Job description

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification/Registration required)

Join our dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality patient care. We are currently seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team and support our physicians in providing exceptional medical services to our patients.

Job Duties:

  • Patient Interviews and Documentation:
  • Interview patients to ascertain medical history, symptoms, and current health concerns.
  • Accurately document patient information in electronic health records (EHR) or charts for physician review and reference.
  • Vital Signs and Patient Assistance:
  • Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Patient Care Coordination:
  • Review physician's orders, lab requests, and follow-up needs with patients, providing clear instructions and information.
  • Document services provided and procedures performed accurately on appropriate forms.
  • Clinical Support and Laboratory Tasks:
  • Assemble and utilize clinic equipment for patient examinations and procedures.
  • Collect samples such as blood, urine, and sputum for testing and perform routine laboratory tests as required.
  • Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Manage patient inquiries over the phone, addressing concerns and questions promptly and professionally.
  • Follow up with patients who miss appointments and coordinate scheduling for additional tests or referrals as needed.
  • Supply Management and Inventory Control:
  • Maintain clinic supplies by stocking inventory, ordering new supplies, and disposing of expired or damaged items.
  • Ensure adequate supply levels to support clinic operations and patient care activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a medical assistant program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and safety practices.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Type: Full time

Compensation: $18-21 hourly (depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hours/week - Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Location: Oro Valley, AZ

Start Date: ASAP

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
