Back Office Medical Assistant
Job description
Back Office Medical Assistant- Smyrna, TN
Job Responsibilities:
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update medical records and insurance reports
- Arrange hospital and laboratory services
- Vital Signs
- Check with patients and type up patients charts
- Assist during medical examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Pay Rate: $17hr. - $20hr. (Pay is dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday-Friday Four 10 hour shifts 7:45am-5:30pm, as well as a Saturday shift from 9am-12pm every other Saturday
Location:
Smyrna, TN
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of MA experience
- Ability to take manual blood pressures
- Experience conducting phlebotomy
- Experience conducting injections
- Experience working off of an EMR system
